本プライバシーポリシーは、Study Penguin（以下「本アプリ」）がユーザーに関連する情報をどのように取り扱うかについて説明するものです。
1. 基本方針
本アプリは完全無料で提供されており、広告の表示および課金機能は一切ありません。本アプリはユーザーの個人情報を収集せず、学習データを外部サーバーに送信しません。
2. 収集する情報
本アプリはアカウント登録を必要とせず、個人を特定できる情報（氏名、メールアドレス、電話番号等）を収集しません。
以下のデータは端末内にローカル保存されます：
- 勉強記録（勉強時間、科目、日時、集中度）
- フラッシュカードデータ（表面・裏面テキスト、画像）
- アプリ設定（学習目標、試験日、テーマ等）
- 通知設定
これらのデータはすべてユーザーの端末内にのみ保存され、外部サーバーに送信されることはありません。
3. 情報の利用目的
本アプリに保存されるデータは、以下の目的にのみ使用されます：
- 勉強記録の表示・分析
- 学習記録に基づくDaily Newsコンテンツの生成（端末内処理）
- アプリ設定の保持
- 通知の送信
4. 外部通信について
本アプリは以下の限定的な外部通信を行います：
BGM・動画コンテンツの取得
BGM音源（雨音、教室の音等）および一部の動画コンテンツは、初回再生時にコンテンツ配信サーバーからダウンロードされ、端末内にキャッシュされます。2回目以降はキャッシュから再生されます。この通信においてユーザーの個人情報は一切送信されません。
iCloud同期（任意）
ユーザーが設定で有効にした場合のみ、一部の設定データがApple iCloud Key-Value Storageを通じてユーザー自身のiCloudアカウントに同期されます。同期データはAppleのインフラを通じて暗号化されて保存されます。この機能はいつでも無効にできます。

5. 情報の共有
開発者はユーザーのデータを第三者に販売、貸与、共有することはありません。ただし、以下の場合を除きます：
- 法令により要求された場合
- ユーザーの明示的な同意がある場合
6. データの保管と削除
すべてのローカルデータはユーザーの端末内に保存されます。アプリをアンインストールすることで、端末内のすべてのデータが削除されます。iCloud上の同期データは、端末の設定からiCloudストレージを管理することで削除できます。
7. お子様のプライバシー
本アプリは年齢制限なくご利用いただけますが、13歳未満のお子様の個人情報を意図的に収集することはありません。
8. プライバシーポリシーの変更
本ポリシーは必要に応じて更新される場合があります。重要な変更がある場合は、アプリ内でお知らせします。

This Privacy Policy explains how Study Penguin ("the App") handles information related to its users.
1. Our Commitment
The App is provided completely free of charge with no advertisements and no in-app purchases. The App does not collect personal information and does not transmit your study data to external servers.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not require account registration and does not collect personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or phone number).
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Study records (study time, subjects, dates, focus level)
- Flashcard data (front/back text, images)
- App settings (study goals, exam date, theme, etc.)
- Notification preferences
All of this data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.
3. How We Use Information
Data stored by the App is used solely for the following purposes:
- Displaying and analyzing your study records
- Generating Daily News content based on your study data (processed entirely on-device)
- Preserving your app settings
- Sending notifications
4. External Communications
The App performs the following limited external communications:
BGM and Video Content Downloads
BGM audio tracks (rain sounds, classroom ambience, etc.) and certain video content are downloaded from a content delivery server upon first playback and cached on your device. Subsequent playback uses the local cache. No personal information is transmitted during this process.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
Only when enabled by the user in settings, some settings data is synchronized to the user's own iCloud account via Apple iCloud Key-Value Storage. Synced data is stored in encrypted form through Apple's infrastructure. This feature can be disabled at any time.

5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except in the following circumstances:
- When required by law
- With your explicit consent
6. Data Storage and Deletion
All local data is stored on the user's device. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all local data. iCloud synced data can be removed by managing iCloud storage in your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is available to users of all ages. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the App.
